So that’s week 7 complete and I’m on track to compete the programme before my birthday.
I am looking to get a new smartwatch and had been looking at iPhone 3 as it has quite a discount right now...but I want to be able to go running and use Strava and listen to podcast or music without having to take my phone with me (I use Spotify and don’t have Apple Music).
Any recommendations for the best watch to go for? Would be nice to have notifications from phone etc too when it’s nearby!
Thanks xx

Hi. I have an Apple Watch 3, good value at the minute and I really like it. The Workout App works well and syncs to Strava through your phone post run, it’s also a good incentive to close the activity rings. You can download music and podcasts to your watch and don’t need your phone on runs. Works for me (and my son & daughter who have also started running). Good luck and happy running 🏃♀️😀
Don’t think so - well I don’t have Apple Music 🎵. I created a playlist in iTunes and synced that from my iphone to my watch for my music. The watch has a podcast app (not really used much tbh) and Strava, as well as NRC which my son uses mostly but has worked for me the last couple of runs. Bluetooth wireless headphones and all good - that’s what works for me 👍
Of course others will say that a Garmin etc is more geared towards running specifically, and they may well be, but I’m an Apple girl and love my Watch3 - it works for me 👍
