I woke with a bit of a sore back (I must have slept funny) and zero motivation to run. However, I am due to go back to work (from summer hols) next week and I am going to have to change my runs to the evenings and know my motivation will drop so I had to persevere through this lack of enthusiasm.
Anyway, I did and it was hard! By the end I wanted to stop but I battled through and I now ache the most I have ached since starting this 5 weeks ago.
I think 5 weeks ago I would have just stopped but this program and this group have really helped me not just get fitter and run further but help with my self motivation in general.
Keep at it everyone! You can do this! ππ»πͺπ»

Stretching immediately after every run, nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h... while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow, as recommended in the guide to the plan.
Core strength exercises can help to avoid lower back pain.
This such an achievement so be proud, stretch, drink water and have as many rest days as you need before the next one - youβve got this ππͺπββοΈ
