Just started week 3 of Couch to 5k today and my ankles are killing me I don’t know where to put my legs and I’m hobbling around like an old lady (no offence to old ladies). Any advice?

Not exactly sure why your ankles are so sore, however, have a few extra days off running, do a few stretch exercises, drink plenty of water the day before you run and some just before you run, run a little slower than you have been recently, maybe your shoes are not the correct ones for running.
Hi thanks for replying I never mentioned I’ve done a couple of days of gardening as well which might also contribute to my aching ankles. I’ve done some ankle exercises today which I think has eased a bit of the swelling. Im sorry to say I just thought trainers were trainers so I guess I need to invest in some running ones.

What are your shoes like. Proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop can make all the difference.

Thank you I think I need to invest in some proper running trainers I never really understood why there was so many trainers to choose from.
