So today I reached the elusive 5K in 28 min + 10 walking.
I seriously don't recognise myself! This programme is AMAZING!

👏👏👏Well done StarkeyGo 👏👏👏 Good going, keep it up ... it is amazing program 👍
Good going! I hit that milestone (5km including 5min warmup and cool down walks) on Saturday with W7R3. Both my W8 runs have been slower than that one but with similar ground covered.
You'll probably be able to graduate very close to 5km running distance if the wind is behind you. 😉
You have every reason to brag! It’s an amazing achievement 👏👏👏👏🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️😘
Shout as loud as you can ! That’s extraordinary progress and something I can only dream of at the moment ! Enjoy the last for runs of the programme 🤗well done YOU
Bragging rights earnt! Well done 😊
Thank youuu
Wonderful, well done. I’m doing the same run tomorrow but I’m much like a snail! I’m getting to about 3k so far, so big respect to you.
Thank you!
The funny thing is that the first few minutes running are not good. It feels like I'm too tired, that I won't be able to finish. Then at some point, I get into a rhythm and I keep going.
This is such a psychological battle for me, I'm glad the only thing I had to do is to keep going and try not to listen to the nasty little trolls in my head.
You can do this, and at the end of the day the idea is to jog for 30 min, the distance doesn't really matter.
Sounds like the "Toxic 10" to me.
The first few minutes are a problem for most runners. Coordination, rhythm, energy release, etc. all take some time to kick in.
And then at the end of the exercise it takes time for the energy release mechanisms to wind down, hence the "burn" feeling and flushed faces.
