Garmin watch question

My current watch (Samsung Galaxy) has died on me so I am looking for a replacement. I'm looking at Garmin vivoactive 3 or 4s. Any recommendations? Also I am a bit confused. On Amazon the 4s is being sold in two different sizes, small and medium to large, John Lewis does not mention the size at all. Is it because they sell it with both size straps included? Think I need the bigger size so wondering if anyone has any experience with it.... Thank you

I use a Garmin forerunner 45S

Where the S means small, however this is not the strap size, it is the bezel size so don't know if that's the same for the vivoactive or not

Thank you. Yes the s in the name is for the size of the bezel. But then it also gives the option of small or medium /large which I think is the size of the strap. But the colour option varies depending on the size you choose and I don't like the colour of the bigger option.

The vivoactive 4 you can download music onto if you have a Spotify premium account so you don’t need to run with a phone. The 45 is also good. Personal preference I think.

The vivoactive on John Lewis states 40mm and 45mm rather than small or large

Straps are cheap as chips on eBay

I recently got a vivoactive 3 music from JL (clearance 😀). I'm really happy with it. Like the vivoactive 4 you can download music and run without a phone. You can also set it up so it sends an emergency signal to three people if you need to let them know where you are. Strap design is such that it has loads of slots for the buckle, so it fits any size.

I have a Garmin Forerunner 45s and love it. It does everything I want and more. It also has the emergency assistance function, but I still need to have my phone with me to enable that to work.

I got the Vivoactive 3 (not music). The straps have pretty standard fittings. The resin strap that comes with it has a huge number of holes to accommodate small or large wrists.

Thank you all. It is more the size of the 4s that confuses me. And I know that I can pick up cheap straps, but if spending over £200, it would be nice to get a watch that fits. I think I'm going for the vivoactive 3, anyway.

Thanks again
