I did it!!! My 1st ever sub 30min 5kπππ wanted to give up the whole way, no music (not by choice) so sound of my puffing and train breathing for company obviously made me run faster- to get it over withπ€£

I set a PR today for 2 miles... 20 minutes on W7R3. I'm 90 seconds behind you.
OK. I confess! I chose a route that had a slight downhill gradient for most of it. I then had to pay back that height debt in completing the circle during a greatly extended cool-down walk. Back to my "there and back" route for W8R1 on Monday.
Well done that's fantastic, I love getting PBs! I live at the top of a very large hill, everywhere I run is downhill out and uphill back. I used to think it makes us stronger, now I am actually fearing hills and run out as far as I can which is mostly downhill, a long stretch mainly straight, and then finish in a slight gradient before walking the rest in a long cool down walk home. π I'm planning to do some hill sprints one session to try and overcome my fear as I look at my shorter routes around my house that I used to do and I can't believe I managed them. So like you it was downhillπ€£
