Update from my sub 30m 5K on Saturday.

So guys really needed to share with you all. After my first sub 30m 5K on Saturday, I had a nice rest day but somehow tricked myself into thinking what is it was a fluke !!!!! 😤

Tonight was my W7R1, after a long day at work got home and thought I need this run to reset after work. Put my gear on, did my warm up exercises and I’m feeling good, pushed the fluke demons to the back of my mind.

App running along side my Adidas tracker app, off I go. 5m warm up done set the tracker going and I’m into this telling myself come on you can do it and it definitely wasn’t a fluke. Michael pops in my ear 5m down and I’m feeling good, found my pace and found my stride I’m off.

It wasn’t until I looked over and caught my partner walking ?? I’m thinking bless her she has slowed right down must be tired, sure enough my kind Adidas tracker lady pops into my ear and says ‘distance 5K’ I’m like no way seriously quick stop the app need to see my time, to my absolute amazement I managed to beat Saturdays time by 23seconds. I’m so happy and proud also slightly stupid thinking my partner had given up. Once I had stopped the tracker checked the C25K app and somehow it had paused 🤬.

That’s the key to having both app running at the same time, back up 😂.

Here are my times and splits over the entire run. People this is proof that anything is possible. 69 days of not smoking previously smoked for 20 years and now look sub 30m twice in 3 days 💪🏻💪🏻🎉🎉🎉

Absolutely impressive, especially considering your smoking history!! Congrats on beating that demon and replacing a bad habit with a good one!

Thanks. I believe that was the key to quitting cold turkey to be fair, having a good positive thing to replace the habit.

Love the support thanks everyone 😊

Congratulations on running a sub 30 minute 5k twice in 3 days, many runners have been running for years have never been able to do that so you should be very proud of yourself, well done 😀 🏃🏾
