Just discovered HealthUnlocked although well into C25K.....
So, last November I suffered my second heart attack at the age of 55 and realised I probably didn't have many years left to live unless I did something drastic about my health.
I've done sports in the past - gymnastics (as a kid), martial arts, swimming - but always detested running!
But a few weeks ago I realised that running was the most efficient way to get fit so I started C25K..... and today I ran further than I've ever run in my life. Wow.
TBH the 20 min run was a lot easier than the preceding few runs - C25K is VERY cleverly thought out!
So I'll continue running, and becoming the person I never thought I'd be.
And I appreciate the support a community like this will give me.

As a fellow-relatively-new member, it's always good to join a forum with people who have similar goals as you. Your story is very inspiring and I am so happy for you.
Keep going!
I'm starting on week 4 tomorrow and slightly dreading it.
As for W4 tips, I found that it's the early weeks that are the hardest. Something about the constant changes of pace stops you getting into a rhythm. Week 4 for me was relatively easy. Hope it is for you too!
Just came back from my run. You were totally right! Today was easier for me than week 3. Admittedly, the last 5 minutes were a bit tough but I am so chuffed I completed it.
You've come to the right place JazzMad! The folks on here are super supportive and you'll get great advice too (I know I have) - you can bet that any questions you have will have been asked before. Good luck with C25K and, on those days you don't fancy it so much, just remember the positive feeling you get at the end of every session.
