W5R3 - Laura's been cheating on me...

Ok, so here's a thing... I use the iPhone C25K app on an iPhone 5S.

On my last run (W5R2) I couldn't help but think that time was moving rather slowly, and I felt like I had been running for ages yet I still seemed to have lots of time left to run. I put it down to me being so knackered that I wasn't thinking straight, but as I hadn't used my Nike run app on that particular run I couldn't check.

Tonight came the dreaded W5R3 and I decided to set my Nike running app for a 20 minute run. I started the run on the Nike app at the exact same time as the run on the c25K app started. I was merrily running (I used the term 'running' advisedly and in the loosest sense) when the Nike app tells me I have run 10 minutes. "Great!" I thought, so I checked my C25K app and that showed I had only run for just over 4 minutes!! My watch agreed with Nike.

When the Nike app told me I had completed my twenty minutes, Laura was still showing that I had 7:45 left to run!! I was furious!! In the end I just kept on running as, even though Laura had been cheating on me, I felt like I would be cheating on her if I didn't go on to the end. To cut a long story short I just ran for 27:45 on W5R3 and I love Laura!!!!! Oh yeah!!!

I'm pretty sure she cut my 90 second walk down to about 30 seconds yesterday. What a minx!!

Could you have done what I did last week, but in reverse? I turned on the podcast and Laura was going super-quick, so much so that I had to turn her off and time my runs myself as I thought I'd just get through it all in ten minutes. Realised when i got back that on the podcast app there is an option in the bottom left hand corner to change the speed of the recording. Mine was set to double time I think, but there is an option to slow it down to half speed. Its fairly easy to change the setting by accident I think...

It is not the app - it is the phone and the GPS signal. Try turning your phone off an on before a run or at least every 4-5 times and it should work fine.
