Hi guys! Just did my first run today after taking the plunge (bought my gear yesterday, shoes trousers top and watch etc).

Decided to time it myself as I cant use the podcasts which is a big shame!

Was nervous about stepping out in full running gear and walking most of the time! but took the courage and stepped out the front door, run went well, had a slight pain just under my knee towards the end, and a few running stitches too! but enjoyed it more than I expected. Hoping my body will heal up in the rest day so I can continue on my journey.

Thank you! Yeah I just timed the 1min run 1m30secs walk intervals myself, and just went about it that way, already looking forward to the next run haha

Well done for taking that first run. You can do this 😊

Great article, thank you for directing me that way, I suspect I need to improve my running style to avoid the pain I had just under my right knee.

Possibly, but more likely you need to slow down until you develop leg strength.

Hi Hucknallrunner. Well done on your first run. Heres to many more.

I'm from Hucknall as well, although now live in Scotland. I'll be "home" next week for a few days, so will be running round Tichy park and surrounding streets.

Happy running :-)
