W2R2 and didn't quite melt into the tarmac

Just completed my second run of week 2 and this run felt almost 'good' πŸ˜‚

It was different to my other runs. I wasn't so out of breath for a change and I noticed the difference.

I did have music on for the first time and I think it really helped me set a better stride when running. I found a bit of rhythm and that in turn seemed to help my breathing.

In the last run I even had a little 'Rocky' moment and felt the urge to shadow box as I came down the final bit of road πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Omg I just realised I might end up actually liking running. And for years I've said I'm too fat to be a runner!

I do now wish I wasn't carrying all this extra body weight but am hoping it will shift over time as I get better at this 🀞

Omg yes! When the breathing is relaxed and settled you really settle into the running. Can't believe I'm even talking about running πŸ˜‚

Wow!!!! Well done - I’m definitely going to steal the shadow boxing thing hahahahaha. I used music for the first time this Morning too and it really seemed to help. The time slipped away and I actually felt reasonably fresh when I got home again - very sweaty but fresh hahahaha.

Reading this...I think you are actually me ! And we are at the same stage too, I did W2r2 today also! 'Almost felt good' and 'too fat to run' ! We so can do this ! x

You sound like me 52 overweight run phobic when I started

I am on week 8 run 3. Still 52. Still overweight but making better food choices. Breathing and stamina no comparison. And loving the running
