Bit late with posting again as I finished off W8 yesterday! Thought Iโd add the emojis so you didnโt all think Iโd had a fall ๐ Weโre still trying to get used to people calling it that instead of autumn. The colours are spectacular and intensifying every day and this pic was taken down our road.
So yesterday morning off his nibs went to the driving range, it was in doubt as it had been chucking it down all night, but it stopped just in time. It was about 6 degrees, the coolest Iโve run in so far so I wore a long sleeved top for the first time which felt weird. I went off very carefully being mindful of my ankle but althoโ itโs not 100% it was fine. I found myself going rather faster downhill than I wanted (most unlike me ๐๐ข ) so reigned it back in as I knew I had the uphill incline on the way back ๐ฌ Felt pretty good overall (except for very cold hands...will be wearing gloves next time!) and amazed again at the increased distance I seem to be covering. The gremlins clearly think they may have more than met their match now as they were rarely present ๐บ I just have that amazing feeling now that, although it might not be easy, I know I can do it and finish every run ๐ช and Jo says so anyway so why would I disagree ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I havenโt really been paying much attention to distance or speed as my aim is solely to be able to run for 30 minutes and after that for 5k, no matter how long that might take me. But it seems that I covered 5.06 km in 38.20 but that did include the 10 min warm up/warm down walks! Roll on the day when maybe I can run that far in that time ๐ค
Iโve so enjoyed catching up on everyoneโs progress over the last couple of day so good luck to everyone out there this week ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธand hope that the weather is kinder to you all than last... I gather from family and friends that it should be. A special shout out to all the current W8/9 crew...weโre nearly there ๐
