So much for my new beginnings!

2 weeks post spinal surgery I was going great guns and itching to start c25k again, then last Tuesday it was a 999 call and back into a different hospital with gallstones. Oh boy pain?... hmm. After a few days monitoring and administering fluids and antibiotics I looked a bit like an inflated version of me. Friday afternoon I was back under the knife having my “horrific, jam packed with stones dead and dying tissue everywhere” (quote) gallbladder removed. Really hoping tomorrow after my 12 hour infusion of phosphate, they will let me leave. Can I claim an annus horribilis? Gonna right 2020 off as a complete disaster.

Oh no, sounds like you've had an even more rubbish 2020 than most. Hope you're on the mend soon and back out in your running shoes.

A friend of mine said the other day that he is not bothered about seeing next year in, but he definitely wants to make sure this on leaves on time.

Take care........you will return.

I think you need a bit of pampering.

Take care, heal , don't rush things, you have been through a lot.

Oh dear I feel your pain, no I really do. I had my gallbladder removed a couple of years ago so know what you're going through. The doc said after week I'd be ok, meanwhile a month later I was back to feeling ok. So keep that in mind and you'll be back to C25k in no time 🤞So by no means it's a write off - keep the faith!! Good luck with you're recovery 😊

Thank you all so much for your kind wishes. 😊I am now home on buckets of tablets and minerals, feeling as weak as! But I feel “clear” which is strange but the only word that describes it. When I start running again I’ll be back! I am optimistic. 👍🏻 xx
