The jump from week 1 to week 2 is only a minute. The difference is you're doing longer runs but fewer of them.

Hi and we'll done on completing week 1.

The increases from week to week are quite gentle at this stage so don't be scared of it .

You need to trust the program and realise that if you have successfully completed week 1 then the program has made sure you are physically capable of completing week 2 .

All you need is that trust !

Just keep the runs nice and slow , you should be slow enough so you could speak full sentences without gasping for breath , if not then it's too fast .

Also make sure you keep well hydrated, especially in this weather !

As a runner you should aim to drink 2.5 to 3 litres of water a day , even on your rest days .

And if you haven't already, then read the guide to the program 'How to run couch to 5K' it's full of useful information on warm up routines and stretches and other information.

Most of all, enjoy the program , it's magic 😁👍

Massive congratulations 🥳 you have passed W1 you’re already on week 2 go out and try and if you really feel like you can’t do it go back. But most of the time your brain worries but your body can do it. Take it slow.

You got this and the program has got you.

Maybe don’t look at what’s happening until you are going to do it. I just knew I was going out to run and did as I was told! 🤣

Turn it round the other way mezziejay - every run is preparation for the next one. So when you’ve completed it, you know you’re ready for the next one ! And if ever you can’t finish one, don’t worry about it, just mark it up as a practice and get out there next time to smash it!

I stressed every week because the jump felt massive! In response to my stressing about not being able to do it, my friend who had already completed the C25K said, ‘You just will’ and I just did! It’s hard at the start but before you know it you’ll be running 20 mins and you’ll start to believe it’s achievable. Keep it slow and steady 🏃‍♀️

Well done for completing W1👏👏👏

I think everyone is apprehensive when they move on to the next week but the programme is so well designed it should never be beyond you ... even if you want to repeat runs/weeks. Good luck with W2 - you’ve got the power 💪
