Week 7 already!

I’ve done two 25 minute runs this week, one in terrible rain and one in sweaty humid weather. Managed to do both, not easy but I’ve actually enjoyed them.

I am still running reeeaaaallly slowly but I’ve got it into my head that is ok for now. I can always pick up the pace as I get more used to the long runs.

I love Couch to 5k it’s genuinely made me accomplish things I never thought would happen.

If you’re reading this at an earlier stage and totally intimidated by the thought of the longer runs, trust me this works.

I think I’m only doing about 3.5k at the moment but I’ve not measured it as the app I used interferes with the C25K app. Can anyone recommend an app that won’t switch C25k off?

Hope you’re all keeping well and enjoying your runs :)

Glad that you are enjoying C25K, congratulations on almost completing week 7, not long now until you graduate.

Recently I have been rerunning C25K for interval training, I also use Mapmyrun and that has not interfered with the C25K app or switched it off.

Congratulations with your week 7 runs !

They are good stamina builders ! 🙂👍🏃

Have you tried Strava ?

It might not be a conflict with the apps but probably the permissions settings in your phone !

Good luck with the rest of your runs 🙂🏃

Well done x I’m on week 8 hopefully Monday x so we are around the same place xx I use

My polar watch for the entire session and record just the run time on strava to have my accurate pace x

Well done, I completed Week 3 yesterday and that was hard due to the heat and humidity. W7R2 on Tuesday was at 530am where it was foggy and cold so the different in weather between the 2 made yesterday feel harder. I think the 25min run is definitely good to get you used to the longer runs as you end up doing it 4 times!

I use Google Fit and Adidas at the same time and neither interfere with the C25K app. I even have Spotify on at the same time. Neither of these Apps need a smart watch either.

I've started taking an old phone out with me as well as the phone for the above as i'm curious what my pace is for just the run rather than the walk either side of it. I'm a bit weird like that as my daughter tells me haha

Well done! You're nearly there. I totally agree, the programme is brilliant. I just grsduated last week and I can't believe how far i've come when i think back. Week 1 major struggle to run for 1 minute now I'm running fur 30 to 45 mins! Bad weather is a test but shows you're committed. Personally, I love running in lightish rain as it's so cooling but the hot weather is hard. Keep up the good work. See you at Graduation!

I'm also on week 7 but not done run 3 as been feeling off colour😩. Hope to do tomorrow 🤞. I use Strava and find it work well with the C25k app - always start this first though. Good luck with the rest of the app 😊
