Really annoyed with myself only managed 16 mins of my 25 today. It’s the first time I have not completed a week and am gutted! I couldn’t seem to get my breathing right and it felt really hot! Going to try again tomorrow, fingers crossed 🤞

W7 D3 failure

It’s still 16 mins more than you used to run for right? And so it’s still a positive step. Swap failure for warm up run and go out next time and nail it!

Don't be too hard on yourself. It's tough in these hot and humid conditions and you've done 16 mins more than you would have on the couch. If I were you I'd take an extra day off and next time slow your pace and keep really well hydrated 👍😁

Please don't try tomorrow. Even uncompleted runs need a rest day.

Not a failure Bevvy_81 happens to us all, it’s so hot at the moment and that makes a hell of a difference, treat it as a practice run, I’ve always found the next one turns out loads better, but go out there again when it’s cooled down. Your doing great so stay positive and think back to how far you’ve come since week 1 👍🏃♀️

No run is ever a failure, more a practice run and it happens to us all now and again. I’m 4 weeks after graduating and abandoned my last run after 19 minutes as I couldn’t get the breathing right - so don’t worry about it!
Take a days rest and have another go in a couple of days and you’ll feel completely different.

It was/IS VERY hot, and humid too! I'm stopping running for a few days until it cools down a bit!! 🧘♀️😂😎🏊♀️🌞⛱🌡Even a few extra days off at this stage won't affect your fitness and may even help 😃.

Yes agree with the others. No such thing as failure here as long as you’re out there running. Staying on the couch is failing. Any running is a success. Also as others said it’s hot and humid. I’ve not been out. Was worried but then stoped the negative thoughts and changed them to say I was actually being very wise not running yesterday. So my advice is to try and change your “failure” thoughts to “wow I can run x minutes now and that’s amazing”
Good luck with your next run. 😀👍

Never be annoyed with yourself! Listen to your body. Sometimes it knows what it needs!
