Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a happy and peaceful Christmas 🎁 onwards and upwards now into the new year!
I have a very painful big toe on my right foot. My big toe is extremely red and painful and I think it’s possibly an I growing toe nail? I have tried to get an appointment with a chiropodist over the last few days but they are either closed for the holiday or fully booked. Even walking the dog is an endurance test!!
So frustrating as this is hampering my week 8!! I am not disheartened. I will simply repeat a week or two and then get right back on track as soon as my toe allows. Hope everyone else is fit and well and feeling positive for the New Year xx

I hope you get that apppointment soon suziemac. Are your running shoes a bit small maybe? Most of us have running shoes half to one size longer than normal shoes. 👟👞🥾👡👢👠🥿
Thanks Dexy5. My shoes are half a size up so think that’s ok. I think I’m stuffed regarding any appointment until after the weekend. Looks like painkillers and comfy shoes until then! 🦶
Sorry to hear about your injury, that must be so frustrating! I can't give any advice on how to treat it, but I wish you all the best and hope that you'll get an appointment soon. Maybe it's just an inflammation that came quickly and will go quickly as well? And maybe you won't even have to repeat a week - one of my best runs was the one I did after pausing for a week. Good luck to you, get well soon!
Try cutting a small v in the top middle of the nail... it can ease pressure... I am not qualified to give this advice but my podiatrist gave me the tip for emergencies
You are doing so well with this program. What a shame to have to put the breaks on at this stage. Fingers crossed, you'll be back out there in no time!
