Hi just started couchto5k with my first run today in the rain. Feel great now and looking forward to the next one. Any tips for a complete novice?

Thanks and good luck to all

Hello. Welcome to the forum and well done on starting C25K. Some basic tips to get you started are:

- stay hydrated (2-3 litres of fluid/day, even on rest days)

- stretch after each run

- really important - run slowly, even if it doesn't feel much faster than your walk. If you can't talk as you run you are going too fast.

- post after each run as it's a great way to keep motivated and to pick up help and encouragement from others if you need it.

Finally, enjoy it 😊 !

2 tips.

1). Put one foot in front of the other and repeat.

2). Follow the app. Don't skip weeks and stick with it as the app really does work.
