W8R3...but is this common?

Set out on my W8r3 yesterday morning and found it a bit hard. Took a slightly different route which was a mixture of tarmac and track but relatively flattish does no problems there. In the last 5 minutes I was willing Jo to say slow down and eventually she did! Almost immediately I felt a desperate urge for the loo. 😳. Sorry if this is tmi but I’m assuming I’m amongst friends here...🤞 I was still about 7 minutes away from home but concentrating hard helped me back and I’ve rarely been so pleased to see my front door! Is this common or am I strange? The bonus was that although I didn’t think I’d run any faster, if anything slower my pace was 6.24k/hr so I’m in for a 32 min 5k if I can eventually graduate next week. Thanks for any advice/ reassurance and apologies again if this is tmi 😉

Haha, no, not tmi.

Infact I often feel the need of a loo at about 15 minutes !

I have noticed it on my last 2 runs because I'm always around the same place .

But then it seems to go off in another 4 or 5 minutes and I'm ok .

And it's not always my first port of call when I get home either 😂

Wierd 🤔

Oh ! 😐😂

🥺😉 Oh, you're among friends, don't worry!

It's not uncommon at all and happens more often that perhaps folk will admit. I fortunately haven't had a Paula Radcliffe moment, but I know others who have 🙈. I won't leave the house until I've "been" for fear of an impending disaster! I'm then relaxed and okay for the duration of my run, but sometimes I admit to feeling relieved to arrive home........ 😉

Well that’s good company to keep ... Paula R. I recall that London marathon as I was following my sister in law’s progress from roadside and Paula passed us. Boy doesn’t she go fast!

Yes I get it too occasionally! Despite going before I go out. Being a lady in my 50’s this happens! I also get it occasionally if I’m on a long bike ride. You are not alone!

Isn’t it great to be amongst friends 👍🏻 I’m usually ready to go to the loo by the time I get back too!! Sounds like it’s pretty normal
