OMG Ran for 35 minutes by mistake on W5 R3!!

Well I was so nervous about running 20 minutes without a break, but set off quite determined. After about 9 minutes in I received a phone call on my phone, which I ignored and carried on, & on, & on, & on!! I am hopeless at estimating time, but I did start thinking that the 20 minutes was taking a very long time. So checked my phone, & discovered that somehow my app had paused itself & I had run a full 35 minutes without stopping!!!! I walked back home, absolutely knackered!! But quite exultant that I had actually managed to do it! Lots of stretches & a hot bath later, my legs still feel a bit jelly like, but now I know that I can complete the program. Chuffed :)

Thanks! I'm super pleased, especially as I literally couldn't run for 1 minute six weeks ago!

Wow! I’m impressed! The rest of the programme will seem a doddle now! 😅

Thank you all for your lovely supportive comments! I'm 61, never run a step in my life until 6 weeks ago, and I'm at least 3 stone overweight. So if I can do this, I'm sure everyone can - the program is brilliant & this forum even more so :) I have to say that I do run very slowly, but am amazed that I managed to run for 35 minutes, even if it did nearly kill me!!!!

Wow that’s incredible!

I was looking at my watch every minute and could never believe that ten hadn’t passed! You’re the opposite 🤩🤩 well done xx

Thanks! Difference is I don't have a watch! (I've promised to buy myself one when I graduate as my treat!!) & I can't see my phone without my glasses, which are a pain to wear when I'm running ha-ha!! & I have no innate sense of time!!

How are you getting on with your leg?

Just a normal watch. Remember those? To tell the time. Nothing fancy and “runner tech”!!!

Leg - not good sadly. I just sent you a message actually xx

Omg!!! That's not funny....but did make me chuckle 😂

Well.....without realising it, you now know that completing C25K is definitely up your street....that graduate badge is not far away....and the podium beckons!!! 😊

Great work and a massive well done!!!👏👏

Thanks! I decided that I would continue the rest of the program properly so I re-ran w5 r3 thinking it would be a doddle now! But no! I found it quite a challenge! So, even though I know I can do it, it's still a bit of a battle with myself. I love the structure of the app & will be sad to finish the 9 weeks. I always want Laura in my ear telling me what to do & how well I've done!! 😉
