The snooze gremlins got me again this morning. πΏπ€ so it had to be another lunchbreak run. No meetings this afternoon though, so much less time pressure.
Energy levels were only slightly better than last time, but I wanted to get this run done - run 8 minutes, walk 5 minutes, run 8 minutes today.
I'm running in the woods again, of course! I do love it there and everything felt so much better today. I was really getting into things by the end of the first 8 minute run and that 5 minute walk interval felt really long! I was happy when Denise told me to run again.
I actually enjoyed the next 8 minutes until I made the fatal mistake of looking at my watch. 90 seconds of running left! They were the longest 90 seconds of my life!!
So Week 5 Run 2 is done. That's just over halfway on the plan. π Next up is the 20 minutes nonstop run. It doesn't fill me with the same sense of trepidation as last time around, but it will still be a major milestone on my return journey.

Thanks Roxdog Now I have a certain Queen song going round in my head!
Don't stop me now
I'm havin' such a good time
I don't want to stop at all..
That's also given me an idea... I might actually use a Queen playlist for my w5R3 run tomorrow!
Well done! Iβm glad to read youβre half way now. Rerunning C25K feels like revisiting an old friend. Iβve repeated it twice now - once for injury reasons and then while keeping my daughter company on her C25K this summer. I love your woodland run photo and will be heading off to my woodland trails later this morning. Happy running π
So good to see this, and that photo makes me want to go to the woods, I may as off for a few days, Loving knowing you are doing so well this time round
Wonderful stuff Birdlady, I'm partial to running in the woods too - so calming. I'll be interested to know how 5.3 feels this time around, with all the running experience you've got behind you now.
Excellent work Birdlady64 ππ»ππ»ππ» You are doing so well. Half way point and you will soon be through the second half. I will be cheering you on at the virtual finish line π
