Penultimate run complete🙂

Well that's 26 runs behind me and just one to go! So barring any unforeseen mishaps, I will be graduating in a little under 48 hours time 🤞😁 It just seems totally unbelievable that I have got this far. And to top it all, at the 30 minute mark I felt that I could have easily just kept going, which means the elusive 5K is also very much in reach now too😀. 9 Weeks, what must be getting on for 95 Km covered and nearly 5Kg lighter, what's not to complain about? A totally awesome program and a must for all couch potatoes like me (once).

Well done and good luck with final run.

I'm just about to start week 9 this morning but I haven't lost any weight yet, a bit disappointing but I'm definitely a lot fitter than when I started.

5kg off must feel amazing. 😲🏃‍♀️🎉

It does🙂, although I did start at over 100 so it is actually only around 5% - however it does show and I do feel fitter generally. It was not just the running, I have been making an effort with my diet too, but the running has motivated me to do that.

Thanks for the support, I am really confident that I can do this on Friday and the 5K within a few weeks.

Congrats on getting this far, it does seem like an impossible feat when you look at the plan before you start your first run. After your first run it seems more impossible than ever!

Good luck on your final run on Friday, take your time with it and enjoy it.

With regards to the 5k part, ignore it for now, yes you could probably do it but let that be a short term goal for you to reach once you have graduated.

Start thinking about where you want your running journey to take you and then start thinking about some short, medium and long term goals, these will help with your motivation post graduation.

Thank you for the advise. I am not concerned about the distance, but the realisation that the 5K really is in reach was a nice feeling - as you say, no rush.

Well done! What an awesome programme this is. Can’t believe we are so close to graduating. Are you as excited as I am? 😀

Yes, I can't wait!! - If you had told me back in April that in just a few months time I would be looking forward to running for 30 minutes, I would have said you were completely mad!

I know! I feel exactly the same. I can’t believe it! A 30 minute run before breakfast and then carrying on with the day like it’s a normal thing to do. I never thought I would ever do that,
