I completed this run last night, I ran after work around 4ish and it was hot. But I done it. Kept a slow steady pace. On map my run it said I had run 3.75km. How do you start building up to 5k, I am hoping when park run starts back up I will be able to do it within an adequate time. Doing this programme has boosted my confidence so much as I never thought I could run constantly for 25mins.

Well done! It’s amazing what something as simple (not necessary easy from my experience) as running could do to the confidence levels! 🏃‍♀️🥳

Oh I ran yesterday evening too and it was a bit warm wasn’t it!

Once you complete the program it’s just a matter of consolidation of what your body has achieved and you can gradually add time on.... you will find as running becomes more natural your pace will slowly pick up but don’t worry about time and distance at the moment it will come.

Plus many people run/walk the park runs so you will be more than ok at what ever time you run 5k x
