So I got a little bit carried away on run 3.. I decided to attempt a different route. I’ve walked this route many times before and have always wished that I could run it one day.....well today is that day because I did it! I RAN THE FULL ROUTE!!πŸ˜ƒ

When my 28 minutes was up I was just short of completing the full lap, I could literally see the point where I started and thought, β€œsod it I have to keep going!!!” So my 28 minute run turned into a 30 minute run and I not only managed to run the full lap but I have FINALLY hit the 4km mark too!!

Changing my route has worked absolute wonders for getting my motivation back😊My running partner was waiting for me at the finish line and apparently I shouted (very loudly) YESSS!!! when I passed itπŸ™ˆ Completely thought I said that in my head!! Makes me wonder how many times I’ve done that and not knownπŸ˜‚- so apologies in advance to anyone who witnesses me cross my graduation finish line, there might be a few sore ears🀣

Thank you lovely!πŸ’•Doesn’t it just!! My previous route I was just running laps (usually about 3 and a half laps of the same route) and it was becoming absolutely mind numbing!! X

Oh gosh, yes it is! The route through my park ( 1 lap ) is 7.5k long when I am walking with my doggie, I am hoping one day to run it.

Nowdays I am only doing a bit of it and back πŸ˜…

Stick with it and you will 100% be able to do it!!πŸ˜ƒ The last time I ran (well tried to run) the route that I did tonight was at week 4 and I failed miserably🀣I couldn’t even do the 5 minute runs! It’s amazing how quickly you improve by following the programme!x

That’s great. Since graduating, I have been trying out all sorts of route variations to maintain my interest.

I only made 4K at the end of weeks although I have since clocked up a 5k in 42 mins!

By mixing up circuits around my town, I have a 3k, 3.5k,4K and a 5k and will mix up depending on mood!

It really dies help changing up your routes doesn’t it! I think I could’ve pushed myself to 5k yesterday but I thought let’s not get too ahead of myself haha! As soon as I’ve finished week 9 I will give it a whirl and see how I get onπŸ˜ƒ
