I have just finished week 3. I did struggle with the 3 min runs. I see week 4 is running for 5mins and I’m getting concerned that I won’t be able to deal with running for 5mins without stopping. I only lightly jog on my runs and have slowed down. Do you think I should redo week 3 again to build on my stamina or just move to week 4 and try them and see how I get on.
Week 4 eek!: I have just finished week 3. I did... - Couch to 5K
Week 4 eek!
Go for week 4. I’m exactly the same and have the same thoughts and I’m guessing most of us are the same. I’m onto week 6 run 2 and I never thought I’d get here. Just keep the jogging really light and you’ll do it. Keep going.
First thing is to remember that you are already doing amazingly well. Next thing is the programme helps you in wizard ways and it will help you to do it, even when you think you can’t. So, chin up and chest out because you are already a star that shines and it’ll only get brighter along the journey. Well done!
All the runs so far have been preparing you for the next, and although week 4 is a step up, you are ready to take it. Keep your pace nice and slow, trust in the plan and most importantly yourself. You can do this 😊🌷
Maybe this post will help with your mental approach healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
What is the worst that can happen?
Thanks for all your replies. They really help and so has the post about the mental approach. So glad we have this forum. 😊
I just completed week 4 and tbh i did struggle with some runs some days so im doing week 4 again just so im more comfortable doing week 5.
I bet you surprise yourself! Just go for it - if you have to stop, stop but I bet you’ll do it!
You’ll be fine, the program is designed so as that each run/week prepares you for the next, you’ve got this 🙂
I feel the same, but have just finished week 4. I struggled with my calf’s but nonetheless did succeed. However, I guess repeating week 3 won’t do any harm at all. We are all different so do what feels right for you. When I do week 5, I may be going back to week 4 - or even week 3.
I struggled on my first run of week 4. I repeated it again, It felt so much easier 2nd time around. Run 2 tomorrow, I’m looking forward to it.
Hi. I have just come back from week4 run 1 and i can honestly say it was far better than i was expecting. Took it slowly listened to Michael and it worked!
Think what i am trying to say is i am understanding that I have to believe in the program.
if i can run 16 minutes then anyone can
Trust in Michael (or your chosen one)and he will deliver😁
