6th Consolidation Run - longest ever

I am extra-super slow but I ran for a whole hour today! And I feel brilliant!

My back is holding up and I don’t even bother to mention my joints and legs anymore. I can trust that they will be ok! What a feeling!

Park runs, here I come! (But the amount of people is still the most daunting aspect of doing a park run).

Omg I’m so impressed you jogged for an hour !! I collapse after 30 mins. Hats off to the super runner. You’ll be ready for those park runs can’t say I would like it with other people. I’m to used to jogging alone on farm tracks. I see no one I’ve even told my husband to not come with me it’s too distracting. 🤣🤣🤣

Well done, that's brilliant. I managed 53 minutes yesterday...only 6k so I am super slow too. Dont think I could have managed that extra 7 mins though so go you 😁

Ha, 🤣 but I am way way slower! 6 km, wow 🤩! Nice! I’m aspiring to this but I know I simply have to take it slow for now. And I do so enjoy my shuffle-jog that allows me to feel that I can run for longer and enjoy it and that’s what it is about!

In my 12 week NHS fitness program, I believe there are later sections making use of C25k+ podcasts focussing on speed or stamina in runs, so by that time I will probably be ready for that.

Well done for doing the 6k, and from my perspective and in terms of speed: you are on 🔥! Well done!

Slow and steady wins the race.

That’s brilliant well done and v good news about your back. As a fellow back pain sufferer this is great to hear. I find I am concentrating on my posture and how my back feels more now I am more confident and fit. This means it hurts less during run and after. How have you managed to reduce the back pain or did it just happen? 😀

Yes, I used to get back pain even after short walks. Things that may have contributed to strengthening my back: a bit more walking and some rowing, and then C25k... all probably helped. But I am way not where I want to be / or used to be in regards to fitness. So still a long way to go. Upwards and onwards. Go us!
