Finished my at home work out, picked up the running lead and this one bounded to the door ready for our morning run. After an app malfunction on W8R1 meaning we ran for 29.5 minutes I was looking forward to this mornings run.
With my trusty pacemaker we set off and I decided to track the running only not including the warm up and cool down sections as I had done before so warm up done I counted down for the pup and his enthusiasm was infectious. We ran, dodged some slugs and other people out for early morning walks, runs and bike rides. Before I knew it the half way point went past (and it was treat time for little legs) and we turned and headed for home. Up and down hill we went and then 5 minutes to go said Jo. I upped the pace with a little left in the tank and pup saw this as a race and began to bound beside me excitedly. 28 minutes. Did it! Self high 5 for me and a treat for the pup and the walk home.
He's just collapsed when we got home! Hopefully means I'll be able to get through this mornings conference calls without him joining in. Kids come home this afternoon so my next run will be sunday unless I can organise childcare between now and then but I'm so in awe of this programme and my own body!
