Hi,

Where is live it’s all up and down hill is this a bad thing or just harder? other then running in a small pitch there is no level route I can do

Don’t worry, you’ve made a start!!

Take your run nice and slow and you’ll complete it. The danger is to run too quickly.

I live in a up and down area in north Hants.

I always start by going up hill, but running down can be equally just hard.

Good luck on Wednesday nice and slow and you’ll do it 👍

Congratulations on getting out there! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Are you following the plan? 12 mins is a lot of running in my Mr go for a first run!

I used to avoid inclines (I can) but now I embrace them. Yes they do make it harder so you get fitter! I run really slowly around a fast walking pace. Following the intervals on the plan and ‘running’ slowly should get you through. This video might help it helped me.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Thanks so supportive! I will try slowing down hopefully that will help. I read that guide, well the start of the guide last night my biggest fear was just what others think it’s nice that you mention it. I also went really early so no one was around 😅

Don’t give up. At least you tried. Rest your body tomorrow and try again on Wednesday.. I’m gonna try my second run later today. 😬
