Not sure what happened today, but the run just didn’t feel good or comfortable....probably the only run I’ve disliked.
I had decided I’d forget about timings and pace today and just run a constant 25 mins to just enjoy and build up stamina. But I just couldn’t settle. I knew I was running slower as I had intended, but for some reason my legs felt heavier than normal, I was finding just keeping going was a struggle. I had no dramas, music was fine, my timing app did stop but only noticed that at the end as I wasn’t looking for pace today.
Not sure why it just didn’t gel today ... maybe I was going to slow and forcing a slower pace on myself ? I don’t know. That said, am still pleased I have now run another 25 mins and still looking forward to W7R3.

Who knows why. We’ve read about runs that haven’t felt so good. Could be any number of reasons. Maybe you weren’t hydrated enough? Maybe it was the slower pace like you say. In any case - you still did it, you finished the run! No runs are ‘bad’ runs, you got up, went out and ran for 25 minutes! Well done 👏👏👏. Chalk it up to experience and move on 😀
You’ve got this! Think of how far you’ve come from Week 1!
Thank you ... I’ve put this one down to a bad day and getting ready for tomorrow. As you say we need the odd wobble as it gives a greater sense of achievement when it goes well !
