Week 6 run 3 - hey I enjoyed it!!

I am on such a high. I approached this run with a different mentality. I switched off the 'mountain' of 25 mins - actually looked around to see the beautiful scenery around me and gave myself a 'problem' to try and solve (work issue). Before I knew it the lovely Jo was telling me I was half way through. Amazingly when she suggested I could sprint the last 60 seconds - I did!! My worst weeks were 2 and 3 where I struggled both physically and mentally and repeated several times. It was week 5 run 3 that changed everything. I feel so much fitter, and confident - wish I had taken this up years ago. I'm starting to see the finishing line! I love jogging/running and never in a million years though I would ever say that.

So encouraging to read this. Well done on your achievement!! I'm only on w3 (r1 this morning) and found it hard but starting to get a buzz and enjoy it. I always thought running was NOT for me. I tried a few times in the past but only now I understand that you can't just decide to run for 20 minutes every day, you need to build it up, super slowly. Like you, wish I'd done the c25k programme years ago. Happy running and well done again!

Well done! 👏

Weeks 1 and 2 were the worst for me, I started to notice some improvements in week 3. I've just done run 2 of week 6. I find if I just zone out, i do much better!

Well done! I’m in exactly the same boat. Why hadn’t I done this sooner? This is brilliant! I’m doing why first run of Week 7 tomorrow, another 25 minute run, and I can’t wait.
