A setback...

So, started my second series of week 2 runs this morning.

I couldn’t complete more than one of the 90 second blasts and felt heavy legged throughout.

I think the weekend celebrations for Liverpool’s league success have taken their toll!

To annoy me further up to 97.8kgs from a low of 97kgs last Friday.

Ah well, onwards to Wednesday.....

Have your rest day and prepare well for the next run, by resting and eating well and hydrating fully.

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.

Heavy legs can be symptomatic of poor hydration. As a runner you need to drink a minimum of 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, running or not, as mentioned in the guide.

Well done...maybe some exercises for those legs today to keep them going and then head out again, Wednesday, steady and slow...Plenty of great hydration too:)

Well done on going out on your run regardless! If you were drinking alcohol, it can defiinitely dehydrate you, especially if you go mad before a run day - so don't let that run ruin your experience, just have a rest day, hydrate and then try again! You most likely have gone up slightly on the scale because of the celebrations, not necessarily your progress as a whole, just keep on doing what you are doing - I'm sure the weight will fall off then. Good luck :)
