Finished the last run of the program today π₯³π₯³πΎπΎ, and improved my pace and distance again π’π’, Iβm over the moon ππ.
I would never have thought it possible. If someone had said in just over 2months Iβd be jogging for 30mins non-stop, and not just once but 3 times in a week, youβd have had to pick me up from the floor for laughing so hard π€£π€£. But here I am, thanks to this great program.
I also could not have achieved it without this amazing forum, thanks to everyone whoβs supported and given me advice along the way π. It was tough at first finding my running legs πββοΈ, well they were definitely more shuffling legs for me at the start to be honest π. Weeks 3 & 4 were particularly difficult when I wasnβt sure I could manage this. Thanks Old Floss, and many others for the slow and steady advice, I found my inner snail ππ!
Then came the βlandmarkβ week 5, 20mins non-stop, that first time with no intervals! Achieving that was when I truly began to believe I could this, and now here I am! π
So if you happen to be reading this when your just starting or if youβre having a bad week, donβt give in. Weβve all had those difficult ones, but trust the program, listen to the great advice, let the encouragement help you feel better and you will get there, and you will feel great for it too π.
I will miss the program but looking forward to the next adventure in my running journey. My πpace means Iβm not quite at the magic 5k yet, but I donβt mind, just so happy to have graduated π. I am gonna keep Jo with me for encouragement a while longer as I build to 5k. This will also still give me something to continue to aim for.
Once again thanks to everyone for all the support on my journey I could not have done it without you. Luckily Iβm off work tomorrow so can celebrate tonight instyle tooπΎπ₯πΎππ₯³π
