Well done. The first are second weeks were definitely the most difficult for me. Read all the information you can on here and keep it nice and slow πŸ‘πŸ»

Welcome to the forum and well done getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

When you can run for 30 minutes in a few weeks time, the early weeks will seem very easy.

Enjoy your journey.

Welcome to the forums and great job getting started. Run 1 remains the hardest thing I’ve ever done... So yes it will get a little easier. The plan stays challenging, but you came here for a challenge, we’d hate to disappoint people 🀣

There are ways to make this easier, and most of them are here in the guide healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

You can do this... enjoy your journey

Well done! Getting started is the hardest part and you’ve got that under your belt. Congratulations! I agree with Runner_P about keeping things nice and slow. I’ve found it key to getting me through to week 7 now. Good luck on your journey. πŸ‘

I'm no expert - I have just done week 2 run 3 (and I am very pleased with myself)

I found the first two "outings" of week 1 the hardest, and it has got much better - but I suspect it is about to get harder again!

Well done Holly. I’ve just completed week 1 after not running for about 6 months. Determined to get back to 5k again but starting right back at the beginning isn’t easy. I’m going to follow you and a few others at my stage for inspiration and will try to post about my own progress too

Really well done! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘ In some ways week 1 is the hardest as it can feel a bit daunting and you’re just getting into a routine. But you’re out the door and off to a flying start! πŸ‘πŸ»β˜€οΈLook forward you reading about your progress. 😊Week 2, here you come! πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’
