So given the heat of the last few days I decided to go out even earlier for my run, so was out the door at 5.15am.... but may not have been hot, but boy it was humid.
Have listened to all the fantastic advice from you kind people about W6 after W5R3’s 20min run and it served me well. Didn’t set off too quick and now am finding a nice pace ... on the last 5 mins I was even able to kick it up a bit.
On the cool down walk the full humidity effect hit and boy was I sweating until a lovely short sharp downpour for no more than 2 minute cooled me down ... never was rain so welcome !!
All in all pleased with the run, distance and pace today!

Well done for successfully completing this run in the humidity! It’s a tricky one, I’ve heard, but it seems that you had no problem with it. Nice that you had the shower to cool you down, too! All in all, a pretty good run for you!
Well done! I struggled with the intervals in W6 so it’s good that you’ve smashed it. Sounds like you’re really into your running groove... that 🏁is not that far away, by the end of this week you will officially be a runner-it’s when I started to believe I could do it-enjoy!🏃🏼♀️🏃♂️👏🏼
Thank you... I received plenty of advice about this week from those of you who had experienced W6 so am so thankful. I’m still pinching myself thinking 6 weeks ago I hadn’t run for decades and here I am !!
I feel the same, never thought I would be a runner either and then lockdown came.. who knew?! I don’t think I found this lovely forum until the end of W6, wish I’d found it earlier and known about the W6 gremlins! Enjoy your running - and Mother Nature gave you a nice cool down too- I’m hoping it might be the same for me tomorrow 😜🌧
I’m in awe - We’ll done ! I’m really feeling nervous about W6 now. Will make sure I follow all advice from you and other guys about this coming week - if you don’t hear from me on Monday, you will know what’s happened!
Don’t be ... the program is so well structured... my fear was I’d set off too quick following the 20min run ... but I just put in my mind this is about building for the 3rd run ... and I was fine ... as you will be ! You’ve got this far ... think back to W1R1 ... look where you are now ... you can and will do it .. 🏃♀️🏃♀️
