Oh my goodness what a nightmare! Started week 8 today and right at the end of my first Km I was accosted by two spaniels one I saw and avoided (as it was soaking wet from the stream) and the other I saw after I fell over it 😭
I had started the run with a niggly back and usually a run helps sort it out but now I am soooooo sore, the adrenaline carried me through I shot up from the floor and carried on but now everything hurts 😭
On a positive note. I finished run 1 of week 8 today.

Oh no! I really feel for you. It's quite devastating, also having psyched yourself up to do C25K. Week 8 is quite a way along the programme too! Anyway, I'm pretty sure every cloud . . . . as they say. I completed week 8 and the next day after run 3, I couldn't put weight on right ankle. I have a cracked fibula. So am biding my time in a boot. I've realised, now that I can't run for a while, how much I enjoyed it and really want to get back, but not before time! Good luck with everything, especially the healing.
Thank you! I don’t know how I carried on! That adrenaline and endorphins are amazing Oh blinking heck! Hope your ankle heals well! To run after a fall like mine is one thing but a cracked bone! Eeek
it looks bad, It is one of my fears dogs. At least you finished the run which may of been a help in letting go of some of the adrenaline that must of been going through you.
I can’t believe how shook up I have been today. You fall over all the time as a kid and just get up and get on with it.... roll on 40 and it’s a new ball game.
I don’t think I’ve got all the gravel out of it yet.... hoping the swelling will go down overnight.
And yes! I think that run was needed to get the adrenaline out of me however now my post run endorphins have worn off it hurts more!
