For some strange reason that I can't really explain, my mojo has been missing this week. I last ran on Tuesday, which was a good run, but then my mojo just upped and disappeared π€·πΌββοΈ.
I put running off on Thursday, swerved it on Friday, had good intentions on Saturday morning, but nope, no mojo ππΌββοΈπ’.
In a post convesation with dijep yesterday evening, she told me that she was sure I'd find my mojo under the sofa cushions somewhere π, and she was right! I had just finished watching the lovely Daniel Craig in "Skyfall" and was plumping up the sofa before heading to bed, and there it was, my mojo!! That was it - within 5 minutes I had laid out my running gear for the morning π.
Today's run was my 35 minute run. I ran a slightly different route which was a pleasant change, but also planned deliberately so that I couldn't duck out again, just in case my mojo was wobbly. As my husband and son were playing tennis this morning, I asked them to take me with them to the club and I would run home. This meant that I ran a good stretch along a busy main road, which is something of a novelty for me (and won't do me any harm), before I was able to cut off and onto the common land and run my lovely woodland tracks and trails.
Next week's longer run steps up to 40 minutes. I am edging closer to that elusive 5k, but taking it gradually has kept the injuries at bay, so I am grateful. Fingers crossed, it isn't too far away now.
Happy running everyone, keep your mojos on their toes! ππββοΈπ²
Gosh DD I am exactly the same! Ran three days ago but even though dressed in running gear cannot bring myself to run. Havenβt looked behind sofa yet and also need to find yoga mojo as itβs been almost 2 weeks...
Glad to know Iβm not alone. If it makes you feel better, I havenβt done yoga this week either.
Not sure whatβs been wrong with me.....π. Think Iβve been in a slump but Iβm determined to snap out of it.
As usual, I feel so much better for my run and Iβm going to do yoga this evening to stretch out before bedtime.
Letβs cheer each other on! Go and check behind the sofa for your mojo!

Thatβs great guys, I like to think I lost my mojo in the woods when I fell last month but really itβs been following me around tapping on my shoulder for sometime now, yoga mojo tapping on the other, and Iβve been trying to shake them off by hiding in the greenhouse! But nope, they keep finding me and tapping away. I finally did a yoga session on Thursday morning and boy my core muscles are aching now, ....this coming week I have to turn and face that running mojo before I seize up completely and am swallowed by the couch. ππ€

π our mojos are our friends really!! Glad yours are still hanging around and raring to go Mrs Jorge. It sounds like your running mojo is coming to get you πππΌββοΈπ₯³
Love your post and love that you found your mojo hiding place π€£ Your photos make me want to run woodland tracks, there is one not that far away but I don't know it well enough to run it really. Reading everyone's posts makes me think there must be something in the air that's frightening mojos onto hiding π€
To be honest, I think Daniel Craig helped me to root it out. It was all that action-packed spy movie watching that did it π.
Mojos are funny things. I have no idea why mine played up this week.
Iβm glad my Running Mojo ππΌββοΈ is back now though. Just need to tackle the Yoga Mojo π§πΌββοΈ next, which is even more strange.......
Hi Delly-dot. Firstly you did it, you got out there today that's a huge achievement.π I think it's been the week for it. πI should have run Tuesday but didn't. I gave myself a hard talking to and ran my 30 mins on Thursday as planned. Nothing to write home about. So today I cut myself some slack and ran 40 mins instead of the planned 50. In reality I could have ran more but decided just to call it a day. So the upshot is I ran but I'm not lucky enough to have found my mo-jo. I'll look around and hopefully get back on track. Happy running. This is the week you'll do the 5k ππ
Yes, Mojos tend to do that sometimes, it thinks because you had a good last run that they can rest on their laurels under the sofa, you'll have to call it out by getting your kit on and getting out of the door! π
I have a friend who has been known to sleep in her running gear ready for the following morning. That way her mojo doesnβt have time to do a disappearing act when she wakes up.
I have said I think thatβs taking things a little too far...... π
Glad you found that mojo's hiding place. Now you'll know where to look next time. When I get mojo challenged I've been known to leap out of bed in the morning straight into my running gear so that I can stop an hour before lunch and get out for a run. 11 am seems to be my routine when working from home. However, ive been known to sit all day in my running gear and never get over the door. Sleeping in it is next level though....
So glad you found her...under cushions hey...that's a new hiding place. π€¦ββοΈSounds like a fabulous run and you certainly haven't lost your brilliant writing style. Take care. π£ππ»ββοΈ Happy running πββοΈ
I'm glad I found my mojo too - I was beginning to get a bit twitchy without it! Hope all well with you and Enid? Week 0 is edging closer I hope? π€πΌπ
