Bugger off rain!!

Two days in a row I’ve sat in my running clothes trying to finish week eight run three. The rain just won’t let it happen. Super annoying. I don’t mind running in light rain but not torrential rain

Not sure this is helpful at all.. but the first time I went running in torrential downpour was great. I know the doubt when you are getting ready to leave is real, but once you are out there it is awesome. The air is so clear and you dont notice the sweat. Leave a towel at your door and just embrace it. You may well be suprised!

I’ve resumed C25k as a slow build after a lay off. Yesterday I planned an hour on bike before running when it started to pour. Heading for home I realised nothing was stopping me from running except me. So I managed a wet half hour but so worthwhile. Guess it’s easier when you’ve already warmed up though. Plenty dry spells coming up. ⛅️

I LOVE running in the rain! Not wind though, absolutely hate it when it's blowing a gale and you feel like you're going backwards.

Maybe just give rain running a go - torrential rain is the best, so much fun (when else would you get a chance to just embrace getting drenched in a downpour?)! At some point you might get caught out mid-run anyway so perhaps give it a try and see!

Get out in the rain! It’s fun! You’re in the UK, if you let the weather bother you, you’ll never get out.

Well there you go- rainy runs are clearly good for you! I am waiting for a rainy run, somehow I have avoided it. I hear that we don’t shrink!! ( good job as I’m already vertically challenged 😜) I’m not bothered about rain, but wind I loathe

As T99 says, in the UK you have to embrace the weather or you’d never get out at all ☀️🌧💨🌈

Sounds stupid but do you run in a cap? I loathe running in the rain and don’t like getting we but since using a baseball cap I don’t seem to care that much! Stops your head getting wet and keeps the rain out of your eyes - try it! 🤔

No I don’t. I don’t even own one 😂😂 Sounds like a good idea though

I didn’t either! Just got an adidas one on Amazon (both of my girls think it’s hilarious but it does the job!) 🤷🏻‍♀️
