Landed in Fuerteventura yesterday, got the running kit, graduated on Tuesday and so ready to run again, now the annoying news... years ago broke my big toe, and now it feels like I’ve done it again, sat here with my big toe strapped up... won’t be running for a few days at least, mega frustrated!!

Rant over, happy running people! 😞

Feel for you, that sucks. Hopefully it’s not as bad as you think, rest it well and fingers crossed. Enjoy your holiday

Wait until the initial pain subsides... usually 48 hrs... then buddy it up to the next toe... it should be fine then:) Broke my middle toe... last Friday.. ran again Monday... straightened out now.. pretty colour, but fine:) Made a change from my little toe:)

Thanks Oldfloss, I’m an old hand at damaging that particular toe lol, luckily one of the entertainment team let me rifle their first aid box for some omipore to strap it up with, not paying €130 just to see the on-site doc!

Hope to be running on it sat, there’s a gorgeous beach here itching to be ran along 😃

Me too ! Broke my small one so many times... it is in love with the toe next to it:)

Go you... hope all goes well and remember to stretch really well after your beach run..( Even dry hard sand can result in calf strain) .

Go you!

PS

Yep, I know I sound like your Mum worrying about you !

Shame, but Oldfloss has the answer, hope it works. You don’t realise how important toes are till you hurt them. Good luck hope it feels less painful quickly, and in the meantime relax, put your feet up and let people wait on you - 😉. Hope they are suitably sympathetic 😎

Nooooo Taffinator! 😩😩😩 Join me in the dicky toe club. Although I can still run on mine - not sure if I broke it, but I clobbered it hard last week and it’s tender at the base of the toe on the top of my foot. Running doesn’t affect it, bizarrely.

Hope you can still enjoy your holiday. A good chance to rest up (although I know you’ll be itching to run!) ☀️🏖
