Week 4 Run 2

Lovely misty morning to go out running! I was fairly confident about this run, as I had done exactly the same on Sunday. I even decided to speed up a bit on the second 5 minute run. Definitely a no-no! After about 30 seconds I realised I wouldn’t have enough stamina to complete it at the slightly faster pace, so I had to drop right back. If I decide to speed up again, it will just be for the last minute and not at the start. I was happy to complete it in spite of the slight glitch!

Lovely morning for it- it’s a rest day for me but as I was watering my pots, I was thinking how nice it would be to be out there this morning

A lesson learned - I think we’ve all had bursts of energy that need to be conserved for later! But that’s why the programme is so good as you learn all this early on in prep for the later and longer runs.

Enjoy your🏃🏼‍♀️ journey, looks a lovely place

Thatsgreat, the photo looks so nice. How great to wake up so early. Im due to run today too. Just too tired to wake up so early so will have to do it at about 6pm. You’re doing so good. Look forward to your message in 2 days!

Thank you. I don’t really like waking up so early, but not sleeping well right now, so I figure I may as well get up and run. Helps to make it a positive!

Well done, great picture! Can’t believe how early you get up. I didn’t run yesterday so W4 R1 for me later today.

I had some energy last run so went for a faster pace on the last run on the day but it was only for the final 30 second 😂

Final 30 seconds is what I should have done! Good luck later with W4R1. You can do it!

Nice picture and good job recovering the final run, it's a good skill to be able to dial back a little to complete the run still. I've got my wk4r2 later today... Might be in the rain though...

Yes, I realised my mistake within about 10 seconds. Good luck with your run later! Although it’s sunny here now, that was a real fog this morning and I might just as well have been running in the rain, I was soaked.
