I am so happy to have stumbled across this website. I went on my first run in at least a decade today. Day 1 was actually enjoyable. Starting with only 60 seconds of running helped. How is it in future weeks? I’m hoping it is gradual enough to give my body time to adjust. Cheers!

Well done for starting!!!! If you complete every run future weeks are tough but completely within your limits. Some days are brilliant runs, some not so much!! It is gradual enough. Every time I got to a new week I looked ahead and thought I wont be able to do the next... but I did! About to go out for week 9!! You can definately do it!
Don’t go to fast and drink lots of water even on rest days and you are good to go! 💪🏻💪🏻

Hi. I am new to this forum too although I’ve just completed week six. The programme is great for gradually building you up. To be honest out of all my runs so far I’ve only found one to be relatively easy, but the sense of accomplishment after each is what’s kept me going and the fact that I ran 25 minutes yesterday is astonishing . Well done for starting enjoy the journey 😀

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Enjoy your journey.

You will love it... I’ve not run for 25+ years and let me tell you I wasn’t particularly a runner back then.. it’s great as it does build you slowly to match your capability! I’m on week 5 run 2 and for me it’s switched to a bit of a mental battle this week... Stick with it and let us know how you go! Loads of support on here! It’s great! 👏👏 Good luck 😀
