Do people count the warm up and warm down walks in their distances? If not how do you separate it out - I set my Runkeeper at the start and put it in my back pocket and don’t look at it till the end. Is there a way of starting it after 5minutes without having to get it out or do people just include the walk time?

I only log the runs... when I was using my phone I set a 9 second delay on my tracker, which was enough to get it away safely... getting my gloves on was sometimes fun though 🤣

I track the whole thing with runkeeper but Google fit breaks it up - as long as you're not tracking the run. And it's more accurate than when it's actually tracking the workout🤦

I tracked the whole thing, including the warmup and warm down walks, up until I hit Week 7. Once I started week 7, which includes just one long run, I started tracking only the running part, because I figured after I am done with the C25K program, I may not always do exactly 5 minutes walk at the beginning and end, and what I will really be interested in is my running pace. That's what I'll be tracking and trying to improve upon, the warmup/cooldown is incidental really. Necessary of course, but not part of my goal to run 5K.

Technically W6R3 actually is the first run that has one long run with no walks in the middle of it, but I hadn't really decided on when to start my timer on my phone until after that run was finished. I used MapMyWalk on my phone up until 2 weeks ago when I bought a Garmin sports watch, now I'm transitioning to using my Garmin, but again, only tracking the run portion.

Did the same as Catwise. Its easy enough to have it all ready to go and then just hit record stick it in ur pocket and go. Then u have to remember to fish it out at the end of the run to stop it.

I've been tracking only the running since week 6 run 3 as from then on there aren't any intervals. I use strava and press record and put my phone away in my waist belt as I start to jog and take it out to stop as I slow down at the end of the jog. There's prob more high tech ways but it's working fine for me for now.
