Run 1 Week 9 - Done !! πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅

This one required a concerted effort and my pace obviously slowed in the middle section.

Why on earth am I doing this?

Will the effort of continually putting one foot in front of the other ever get to be enjoyable?

But I pushed on and things got easier, coinciding with a nice downhill section of my route 😁 There were lots of other runners in the woods this evening - I wonder how many are fellow c25k-ers?

A humid one though and I arrived back home hot and sweaty. Now I remember why I prefer swimming πŸ˜„πŸŠ

Only 2 runs left now, I can't really believe it but I can't wait to get my lovely shiny graduation badge 😁

Good luck everyone - Happy Running

Superb good for you, your first of 30 min run, which I'm sure will lead to 100s more πŸ‘πŸƒπŸ€πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Thanks!

Not sure about the 100s though😢

But I definitely want to keep up with the running even when we are allowed back into the water again πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ

Good for you, I was gonna do this tonight, but it’s very warm so think I may leave it til tomorrow 😊

Thanks!

I think the forecast is for warm weather tomorrow as well but good luck for your run whenever you decide to do it.

I'm sure you will smash it ! πŸ˜ƒ

Yep - who would have thought it?

My friends are impressed anyway...

That’s amazing well done! I’ve found form the beginning it’s not the running itself I find enjoyable but seeing how far I have come when comparing runs from only a few weeks ago.

It was very hot tonight, just got back from W8R3 myself and I too am sweating buckets.

Thanks. I agree - I have come so far since that first run of week 1. I enjoy the buzz of finishing my run but not the actual running part

You have done brilliantly! - I have days when it’s a real struggle and others when I love it. When you’re close to graduation that finish line is a great incentive. But the days when I struggle I remind myself why I’m doing it and that I have a choice, especially now that I’ve graduated.

It was really humid out there today. Sometimes it can be hard to keep going in the heat - but we all love the snails 🐌 club here and slowing down to a conversational pace is the biggest lesson I leant doing the programme

I’ll be ready to cheer you over that finish line- good luck with the final runs!

Thanks. Yes we always have a choice. That's why everyone on here is amazing and making a positive change by doing this program, and hopefully carrying on afterwards.

PS I am definitely in the 🐌 club.!!!
