Loved, loved, loved it! π π So lucky with the weather this morning. Was showery when I left and continued throughout, with a light breeze and sunny patches. Perfect! π¦ The first 10 mins was a bit unsettled, so I was thinking,βwell, Busylady said Iβd be fine and sheβs a no nonsense kind of a gal!βπ(Thanks Busylady!). After that I settled into it and really enjoyed the whole thing. Even did a sprint of joy for the last 60 secs! π One of my favourite runs ever! π€ΈββοΈAlso used Strava, for the running part only and the stats were 3.77km, 8.21/km over 31mins 31 secs. Donβt really understand it but I think thatβs fine. π Really looking forward to the rest of the week now!
Happy running everyone! ππββοΈπ’

I know, check me! π€£ Iβll keep my fingers crossed for you weather wise. π€Go for it, youβll love it! π π It just keeps getting better and better! ππββοΈπ’
Lol! Well done, brilliant news, this was my best run so far too, think the milder weather is definitely better, it helps a lot especially when youβre increasing your time/distance. Glad you enjoyed it, weβre nearly there! ππ·
Congratulations on running run 1 of week 9, only two more runs until you graduate.
The 3.77km is the distance you ran, the 8/21km is the pace that you took, for example if you had ran a 5K that would have been around a little over 43 minutes, 31.31 is the time you ran, onwards and upwards to run 2. π ππΎ
Fantastic news! There's nothing like a really enjoyable run ππ€ΈββοΈ hats off to you for that final sprint π enjoy the rest of your runs this week. ππββοΈπ
Thanks so much Beatlesforever! π Howβs your consolidation going? Someone else has posted about using that zombie π§ββοΈ app (today maybe?) and I thought of you! π You should check it out. Have you tried it yet?
Haven't gone out this week because my hayfever was soo bad π I will do at least one consolidation week and then I'll give it a go π§ββοΈπ§ββοΈ
Aw, how frustrating for you! π¬ Do you do yoga, or Pilates? Anything to keep you going in the meantime? Or is it all outdoors stuff? Hope you manage to get back out there really soon! π€πββοΈ
Aww thanks! Yes, I've been keeping active, doing some of the strength &flex programme and some core and leg exercises, plus some cardio on the static bike. Can't wait to be out and about again though! I'll give it a go tomorrow π€π€
Well done Gannet1 ππ»ππ»ππ» sounds like you smashed it! π₯ Its so great to read in your posts how you are really enjoying this and seem to have found a happy place with running, itβs really motivating! Two more runs to go, youβve got this πͺπ»πββοΈπ
Aw, thanks so much, Issywhizz! π Yeh , youβre right, when Iβm out there I am (mostly) loving every single minute! π Such a revelation, as I always hated running before. This programme and even more so, this forum, is so doable and addictive, Iβm totally hooked! Howβs yours going? ππββοΈπ’
Love it, PMA all the way. I think thatβs what gets you through yβknow, positivity!
Ha yeh I didnβt like running ore this and I hated any kind of sport. Although I always watched with envy those participating, admiring their achievements. So one day thought, sod it, get out there and do it, instead of sitting on that couch and admiring the view!
I just ran my run 2 of week 9 this morning. I managed to run 5k in just over 30 minutes, it was 30 minutes and 13 seconds, so am chuffed with that. Admittedly I couldnβt breathe and felt like giving in a few times but πͺπ» itβs very hard still but I do love that mental/physical battle, proving to myself I can do this ππ
I agree, the programme is brilliant and this forum is the most perfect support to get you through the runs. The advice and support has been amazing π
Just seen your post! π€£ Good on you, what a great time you did! ππYouβre penultimate run in the bag and your gremlins smashed! π πGraduation nearly there, then consolidation here we come! And Iβve finally been brave enough to press βrecordβ on Strava! π€ΈββοΈπββοΈπ’
Thank you!! I still feel like I could collapse five minutes into the run π€£ yes yes yes, nearly there. Consolidation runs we are coming for you. Thatβs great re strava, I like recording the runs as it shows the improvement each time. Good luck for run 2!! Youβll probably graduate before me because I keep having about 6 rest days lately π
Whoop whoop! Well done. It's so funny what goes through your head while you're running isn't it?
Love the 'sprint of joy'! That's has to be a thing to do now lol!
You sound so positive and happy. I think that has to be one the best benefits of this whole experience.....being ecstatic with your self ππββοΈπππ
What with sprints of joy and being ecstatic with ourselves, I think we may spontaneously combust! π The only evidence left would be a pair of smoking running shoes. π What happened here, Miss? Oh, it was the sprint of joy that did it, Officer.... Howβs your consolidation going anyway? π
Lol that's funny! It's a whole lot of euphoria going round π€£
They're going well thanks. I've cut the cord with Michael and started using the nike app more. It let's you set a target distance with a breakdown while you're running which I like. I think I might actually keep this running thing up lol πππββοΈ
Excellent news! π Wow, great moment setting Michael free! ππ»Youβre obviously ready now to move on to your new phase. π€ΈββοΈ Nike app sounds good too. πKeep posting though, so we can hear how youβre doing! Sounds like youβre a proper runner now! Bring on the euphoria! ππββοΈπ’
Thank you! Hasnβt happened the last few runs, so it was great to embrace the moment while it lasted. π Good luck for your next one! ππββοΈπ’
Congratulations π₯³ sounds like an amazing run what a great way to start graduation week π. A sprint to end too youβre flying along, amazing ππ. Keep enjoying the rest of graduation week, you deserve it after all your hard week. You can see the enjoyment in your posts, itβs great , love it ππ
