I DID IT!!! Feeling so good now.

Lay in bed debating whether to put off the 25 min run but decided to give it a go. Felt shattered but elated afterwards. Is there any tips to give me a bit more energy. I don’t really have time to eat straight before a run because I literally throw my clothes on and sneak out early morning whilst trying not to wake the house up.

Half a banana and a small glass of water seems to be the consensus on hear. It does help along with a gentle stretch before you kick off.

Congratulation on being officially a runner

The biggest thing is making sure you have a decently balanced diet and that you are hydrating - on your run days and your rest days! I usually try and have a banana but that is 30 minutes before I go on a run and that doesn’t sound too realistic for you - so maybe focus on what you are eating the day before and making sure you are drinking lots of water and that should make a difference - good luck :)

I’m an early runner myself and I find that a bowl of Pineapple, strawberries sometimes grapes (if the wife has them) and some natural yogurt is great after a run (haven’t tried Banana with it though🤔)
