W3R3 - Managed to miss the rain

Ran slightly later this morning at 6 a.m. to miss the showers. Timed it perfectly! I think the first run of the week is always the hardest. It’s the little voice that says - “do you really think you can run two lots of 3 minutes?” Yes I do! And I did! My voice just has to be louder. I do shout at myself to keep going 😀. Legs were aching today at the end of the second 3 minutes, but knew I wasn’t in any real danger of having to stop. . Can’t believe I’m actually doing this - and that I start W4 on Sunday. Bring it on! The weeks are rolling by quickly and I’m feeling so much better about myself. I’ve stopped feeling self conscious now as well. I’ll continue to run early, because I like that time of day and not because I feel embarrassed about what I look like. 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

That’s exactly what I was like, I done my runs early because I didn’t like people around and now I like the time of day I run as well, find it sets up the day better! Well done, it only gets better from here, think week 3 and 4 were my favourite because I could see real development in my stamina - keep going, you can do it!

Great to read this... Well done! I did w3r2 last night and was a little puffed (think I went a little too soon after dinner, but I was stuck on calls with work until early eve, which shoved all my timings out 🤣). Legswise I felt better than w3r1 and they feel fine this am. I’m looking forward to R3 tomorrow :) good luck with w4r1 on Sunday !!

Thank you, and good luck with R3! I think I may have increased my pace towards the end of R3 (I was singing to my music in a strange breathless kind of way) which is why my legs got a bit tired. Singing and running is a bit tricky!

There’s a 6 in the morning? Who knew?! 🤣

I’m not a morning runner, I walk the dog at either 7 or 8 am and that’s early enough for me.

Well done on completing W3, great achievement and sound alike you’re progressing well. W4 here you come!

Yes there is indeed a 6 a.m. and on a sunny morning, it’s glorious! I’m a little bit anxious about W4. It seems to have come round quite quickly. But I’ve done every run so far and managed all of them. So... I’ll give myself a good talking to on Sunday and make sure to set off slowly. Thanks for your support!
