W3R3 done - only managed 1 3min run - continue?

I"ve managed W3R3 and although I've done it, I have only managed 1 of the 3 minute runs completely without stopping, the rest I had to stop for at least one or two 10 second stops - do I carry on to week 4 or do week 3 again? Can't imagine at the moment running longer than 3 minutes!

I think if it was me I would repeat the week, or maybe some of it anyway. Just because I would want to feel ok about moving on to a longer run... You can do this at your own pace, some people take more time than others and that is just fine!

Yes I agree with Eatcakeandrun . I would repeat at least this last run just slower maybe.

Hey!

I had exactly the same issue at the end of week 3. The second 3 min run just wasn't happening. I did week 3 again for a second time and found that really helped :) Don't be disheartened by it, you will be able to run 3 minutes and much more soon :)

If you don't feel like you can move on yet as the others have said I'd repeat wk3; at least run 3

There's no race to get this done, you do it in your own time as this is a program for life; not just the time it takes to complete this course x

As everyone says, "repeat as necessary"... Take your time and continue when you've ticked the box in your own time. Don't put pressure on yourself - you're gaining in fitness each time you run, so you'll have that 3 minute done and dusted soon. :)

I would repeat it until you manage to do the whole thing 3 times. I did that with week 1 and I've now just finished week 5.

Yeah. Like those above I think I would repeat the week. Moving on to the next stage may discourage you if you find it hard.

Those runs you have done are great foundations. I have no doubt when you repeat you will complete it and look back and wonder why you found it difficult. Take it slowly and you will be grand!!!

Good luck!!

I found week 3 the hardest and really struggled. Just relax and repeat, maybe slow the pace a little and keep going. You will do this xx

Hi Fairydust.. I would do week 3 until you can do all the 3 minute runs without stopping. Then do it twice more...

Don't worry at all about repeating runs, the plan is designed to build your stamina and you need to be able to do each stage successfully to move on.😊

I stayed with week 4 for ages, and it was good building blocks for later on in the plan.

One run at a time 😊😊

Keep going you will do it, and let us know how you are getting on.

Thank you for all your replies, I thought I would repeat it as had only managed the 1 3 minute run. I definitely want to be more comfortable doing each run. Onwards and upwards!😁
