Hi, I just discovered this program. It all started last year when my GP, in my opinion, thought outside of box. Enrolled me on the X-pert Diabetes Prevention and Management program. That started me on a, so far, very successful journey. This C25K is the next step (sorry for the pun) on my journey. Unknown territory, but I think I’m looking forward to it.

Good luck on starting C25K, take all the runs slowly, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, onwards and upwards to run 1 of week 1 🏃🏾 👍.
Well done for turning up here. There’s a guide to the program, read it before doing your first run. A lot of people start off too fast, I was one of them as I only found the guide after that run. The program got a lot better after I realised the speed to run at. It’s different for everyone, but you should be able to talk without gasping whilst running. I have a habit of singing along to a Spotify playlist 😂
Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
