I did the thing! Wk 5 Run 3

So after a difficult wk 5 run 2 I was worried about how run 3 was going to go as I simply could not see how I was going to be able to run continuously for 20 minutes after finding it difficult to finish the last 8 minute section of run 2 on Monday.

However, I went out today and I did it, I actually DID IT!!! I varied my route to keep my mind distracted, put on some good tunes and made sure I listened to my body and when I felt the tiredness creeping in I slowed it right down (wasn't going very fast anyway) I just wanted to make sure I kept going. Laura told me I had 2 minutes to go and that is when I really started feeling it so I slowed it down again and focused on the finish line and randomly I was waiting for Laura to say 60 seconds to go so I was really surprised when those 2 minutes disappeared and she was telling me I had finished.

Wow what a feeling, felt like crying if I am honest (in a good way). Makes me believe that I can actually do this.

Seriously couldn't even run 60 seconds at the start of this!

Of course you can do it, you did it, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊
