Well finally completed C25K this morning ,first the negatives I'm 63yr old male ,lost my wife 8 yrs ago very suddenly and without warning.my life fell apart ,gave up gym started drinking to much ,luckily met some one 4 yrs ago on a plane to Israel, started going out 2.5yrs ago she helped me get back on track .last year started doing a house up together and got engaged ,even attempted C25k twice and failed ,then the lockdown decided to move into house and finish it also restarted C25k last night eve of my final run we split up ,spent a terrible night woke with a churning stomach and very down .Now the little bit of positive, forced myself out early and ran my graduation run (3.74km) pushed through it and completed the run .So the next stage ,should be celebrating with the one I love should run my first consolidation run Friday came so far would have loved a hug ,

Many congratulations on your graduation, fellow runner.

This guide to post C25k running may be helpful healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Keep running, keep smiling.

That's the beauty of C25K...it's yours and only yours. You are the person putting the legwork in and you are the person that achieves. No one can take that from you. Keep going on to bigger and better places. ⭐

A lot going on there... sorry to read of the situation you were in at the start line, completely the opposite preparation to that which any of us would choose. That’s one amazing run there... and we can all send you a virtual, ultimately social distanced, hug right now, so while you’re celebrating in a different manner to that which you envisioned, there’s over 100,000 of us all damn proud of you... and I hope you really feel that all day. You belong to a wonderful running family, most of whom started this journey on this very plan... and we’re happy to see another awesome graduate runner join us for some more running adventures. Our journeys aren’t always smooth, but they never end and take us to some amazing places in life... I hope that you enjoy seeing where this takes you now.

I can’t put it as eloquently as UnfitNoMore, or the many others who I’m sure will be replying to you, but I know the good people on C25K will all be giving you a virtual hug right now. I hope your running journey will continue to be a constant in your life and, as UnfitNoMore says, discovering where it takes you into the future. Very well done, I’m proud to be associated with someone like you, fellow runner!

I can’t imagine the strength you must have to have got up and gone for your run this morning. You must be so much stronger than you think you are. That bodes well for your future, even though you might not think so at the moment.

Awesome in the true sense of the word. Virtual hugs from all of us in this lovely running community. You probably dug deeper than you ever thought you would have to or wanted to, but you did it! It’s a great achievement and I hope that now you have conquered C25K you will be able to use running as your headspace time. Lots of us on here find it so helpful for our wellbeing and mental health. Here’s to better days ...👏🏼👏🏼🏃‍♂️🏁🎓
