Done it 😁

Once upon a time there was a fat overweight princess who thought running was daft and always said " look at those people, why would anyone want to run when they have to run back again"

The Princess was furloughed and decided after some support from her daughter to at least try the Couch to 5k, or as its been nicknamed, the couch potato.

After every outing a picture was taken of her fitbit to show the progress and sent to her daughter. Then the strava app was added to the phone so she could see the route. Each outing included a shape just for her daughter to find.

There's no doubting it's been hard and struggled but the princess went out religiously every other day having always made sure she had on her mascara nd looked good at the start of each outing. She may not have looked as good after each one!!!

Well after the extremely slow start to this journey, when the Princess couldn't even run for 60 seconds, she finished the C25K this morning.

The very last 30 minutes however came and went. With Jo talking in her ear saying that's it the 30 minutes are up, the princess carried on running as fast as she could, which wasn't fast at all. In reality every run has been very slow, but she did and ran for 5K..

This princess is still fat and overweight, but some inches have been lost and the scales have slightly gone down and she is determined to carry on. She wants to nail wearing a pair of shorts and wellies at the Download festival which she was going to this year but cancelled now till next year. There is also her sons wedding next year again cancelled from this year.. She has been given a reprieve, to get into shape for these. Instead of being fat she wants to look hot.

If this princess, who is over 56 and a granny, can do the C25K, anyone can do it.

I love this post. I’m also guilty of poking fun at the runners in my friendship circle but am willing to eat a big slice of humble pie. Thank you for inspiring folk like me at the very start of my journey.
